WATERSIDE CROSSING is a prestigious residential community situated on 475 acres of woodlands along the shores of Lake Keowee with over 4 miles of shoreline.  Residents enjoy temperate climate in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. “Keowee” is a Cherokee term for “place of the mulberries.”  Duke Energy manages the hydroelectric dam that contributes power to upstate South Carolina and drinking water to a variety of cities, including Greenville. The Lake is 23 miles long and it averages about three miles wide. There is over 300 miles of Lake Keowee shoreline.
